DESCRIPTION:This month we will hike up to Sawblade Falls on Burke Mountain. Sawblade Falls is a scenic waterfall located on Burke Mountain in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park\, Coquitlam. The Woodland Walk Trail takes you 4 km up to the base of the falls. Along the way\, you walk through the beautiful forest of Burke Mountain and pass by the smaller Woodland Falls.  \n\n\n\nIt’s a 9 km partial loop that will take about 3.5 hrs (according to Alltrails).  Plan to wear hiking boots and bring a lunch\, water and perhaps a friend! \n\n\n\nWhen: Saturday\, June 17 at 9am \n\n\n\nWhere: Meet at the church to carpool \n\n\n\nPlease RSVP to the church office at kolchurchoffice@telus.net if you plan to attend!

DESCRIPTION:A hike is being planned for Saturday\, April 22.  We had this hike planned for March but had to abort because of the snow. Let’s hope it doesn’t snow in April! \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet at the church for 9:30 am and carpool to the Woodhaven parking lot in Belcarra.  We’ll start by doing a loop around Woodhaven swamp and then follow the trail to Sasamat.  We’ll continue around Sasamat and then head back to where we started. \n\n\n\nThe Woodhaven-Sasamat trail is 9 km and the estimated time to complete is 3hrs. There is a 100m elevation gain.  It’s considered an easy hike. Bring a lunch and water.  \n\n\n\nPlease contact the church office at kolchurchoffice@telus.net for further information.
